So first of all just tell us about the ride today? Obviously a great cause to be part of?
It’s a wonderful cause, it’s great to meet children from the Elouera Special School who are here to greet us in Cootamundra today. It’s a bit of a tough ride, it’s been up and down the hill all day, so yeah I’m glad I’m here.
You’ve got a few more days to go by the sound of it?
A few more days to go, it gets a little bit flatter after we go from here. I think we’re heading off towards Temora and then eventually up to West Wyalong, Forbes then a big circle back to Canberra.
Now while you’re on this ride you’re making some headlines this morning, do you have any comments?
Oh look, I spoke to a local journalist a few weeks ago, he asked me about the past challenges and things like that and a hypothetical question to which I gave a hypothetical answer. But the reality is that Mr Turnbull is the Prime Minister, he will lead us to the next election and I expect we will win the next election.
Well that’s it, because it’s a few months away so it would be odd to, I suppose, bring it up in any other context?
Yeah look as I said, we get asked hypothetical questions now and again and you give a hypothetical answer and that’s all it is and Mr Turnbull is the Leader and I support his Prime Ministership. I believe we’ll win the next election and I’ll be doing everything that I can to ensure that the Liberal National Party is returned to Government.
